As you may all know there are several media companies that have partnered up with Snapchat to produce content for its Discover section. I am glad to let you know that, “The Voice” will be on Snapchat. This will feature five-episode series that will feature user-submitted performance videos that could appear during The Voice‘s broadcast premiere on Sept. 19. Other projects in the works include pop culture-focused The Rundown from E! News correspondent Erin Lim and premiering Sept. 8, shows from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live and programming from NBCU’s portfolio of Hispanic brands.
Do you people realize what is going on here? This means that when you’re not at home or anywhere near a Tv, this gives you the opportunity to watch from where ever you are with your phone. As long as you have the Snapchat app you will be able to view the stream from the Discover section, right from your Snapchat app. This deal that NBCUniversal has cut with Snapchat is supposed to have an impact not only on the older crowd but for a younger generation as well. The whole focus is to bring a mobile first program and premium content along with it. Let’s hope these compelling formats bring a long lasting connection that will continue way after snapchat disappears.
