Twitter has just announced that it is now supporting 360 live streaming videos through Periscope. Anyone can watch live videos, though only current selected partners can go live in 360 via Periscope to create these special videos or broadcasts. These features are coming out now but will be available for more people over the coming weeks.
Periscope live videos are not just about taking you to places that you’ve never been before but to keep people connected to you. Followers can shift their viewpoint by moving their phone or tapping the screen to look around. “One step closer to actually being there.” Getting front row access at exclusive events, traveling to places across the globe, and getting up close with well-known personalities. This new feature could be a huge platform for those influencers trying to build their audience.
For those of you looking to create livestream videos, you will need to use the Insta360 Nano camera, along with connecting other 360 cameras using the Periscope service which was introduced earlier this year. It is still not clear when the general public will have the ability to create 360 video broadcasts but lets hope it is sooner than later. You can join the Periscope360 waitlist by filling out this form. Lets hope Twitter continues to grow with some of the big companies that are growing just as rapidly as they are, bringing new features to the table.
