It is hard to stay away from social media. To those that can go a day without checking their phone, all my respects to you! First thing I do when I wake up is check my phone and see what everyone was up to the night before either on Instagram or Snapchat. I blame them for not having enough time to get ready in the mornings. But those Snapchat stories are the best thing that’s happened to me and my boring existence. They give a glimpse of what’s happening in other people’s lives and allows us to live through them.
My ultimate favorite is the Passport around the World Snapstory where they show Snap Stories from certain countries in the world. I am pretty sure I spend an unhealthy amount of time watching those stories. I also follow my favorite celebrities and get to have a glimpse into their life. Oh, Karlie Kloss goes to the gym, wow we’re so similar… we could be friends!! It allows us to connect to these people we look up to on a personal level.
How many of you are guilty of this? Don’t be shy! Snapchat has given us an opportunity to stay in touch by posting videos and pictures about events happening in our life. It’s an amazing platform for self-expression, without the worry of it being in the internet forever!
Bloomberg recently released an article stating that we create 10 BILLION VIDEOS DAILY in the form of Snapchat stories. 10 Billion videos, that’s incredible. People around the world are sharing their day to day life on snapchat and providing us with a temporary distraction from day to day life. According to Bloomberg, Snapchat has more than 100 million daily users who spend an average of 25-30 minutes on the app each day!
So keep on snapping and providing users with videos of your day to day life, who knows you might be brightening up someone’s day!
